The new Suzuki Swift Sport goes on sale on January 2012

Suzuki has unveiled its new Suzuki Swift Sport compact supermini which goes on sale from January next year with prices starting from just £13,500. The Swift Sport has a new Euro 5 1.6-litre 136hp VVT engine offering enhanced torque with a 10% lower combined fuel consumptionof 44.1mpg. The engine is fixed to a all-new six-speed manual gearbox which Suzuki claims has a lighter and more positive shift action.
Suzuki claims, handling is set to improve with a whole host of dynamic enhancements. Newly designed rear suspension is said to increase cornering at the rear and Increased front and rear spring rates combined with added rebound springs at the front significantly increase stability by reducing body roll,
Co2 emissions are down to 147g/km yet the swift sport does 0-62mph in just 8.7 seconds, with a top speed of 121mph where allowed.
The features of the new Swift Sport includes push button start, auto air conditioning, cruise control, fog lamps, , Bluetooth, HID Projector headlamps with headlamp wash and rear privacy glass and seven airbags.
